CCMA Medical Assistant (Self-Paced Online)

Description:
For those currently employed in the healthcare field, to advance clinical skills and knowledge as preparation to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The self-paced curriculum is provided online and the program includes up to 20 hours of live remote coaching and support. All hands-on training and simulations required by the employer are to be provided by the employer on site.

Eligibility Requirements for Program:

• A minimum of 1 year of supervised work experience in a medical assisting or related field within the last 3 years; or 2 years of supervised work experience in a medical assisting or related field in last 5 years; or currently employed in a medical assisting or related position.
  Those employed in a non-medical job position in a healthcare setting may qualify with instructor approval.
• All students must have access to a computer and reliable internet.

Admissions/Schedule

• Admission to the program is on a rolling basis. Students admitted to the program will begin the course the first of the month following registration.
• Students have up to 12 months to complete the program, but may complete it in as few as 6 months as long as participating employer provides appropriate and sufficient skills labs training.
